yep. I moved from SK a year ago and always forget that offsales aren't a thing here.

if it wasn't my wedding anniversary, i'd hit strangewaves and see them tonight. also, heavy metal parking lot & decline of the western civilization II tonight at the royal. I mean, if it wasn't my anniversary and if being out in public didn't give me hives.

if you like Thai food, Pai is good

if you have time, ferry over to the island is probably a good family-friendly activity. Toronto Island Park has finally reopened post-flooding
Bought this at the mall I'm gonna wear this at the mall.

I second that Pai recommendation.

Fresh on Spadina is a pretty good vegetarian restaurant too. It's also right across the street from Graffiti Alley/a block over from Queen Street West, so it's in a neat area to check out.

Ankh - If you have time to go record shopping, I would recommend:

- Cosmos: (they have two locations within 2 blocks or so from one another) and specialize in OG presses of Jazz, Boogie, Disco. Gospel, Hip Hop and Brazilian releases (they hardly carry anything new). If you check out their instagram account, you will get a flavor pretty quickly for what they carry. Both shops are really cool, even for just looking at all of the OG presses they have of certain grails (if that is your thing).

- June Records: June is a great well currated shop and one that has a mix of new and old. They carry a good selection of electronic, ambient, modern classical, rock, jazz, etc. Last time I was there, they had just bought a large collection of Editions EG releases with many sealed. Also they have the best selection of Music from Memory releases in Toronto handsdown as well as other smaller labels as well. Their prices trend more on the highish side for sure but with the premium on your US dollar, I would say it is worth checking out. There are also a few other record shops and independent book stores along College street where June is located.

jays play at 4:07 today, you could probably go for $10 a person. weekday afternoon games are always very relaxed and enjoyable in my experience. plus i think there's a hat giveaway.

Hey!

Any Toronto people here live near condos or condo developments? Shooting an experimental documentary and I might want to film from the inside of your house through one of your windows. :D

Thanks!

Though I'm looking particularly to shoot from homes or apartments rather than from other building. Must always shoot through the window too.

Something like:

that place is pretty tiny+grimy and laid-back so this doesn't really surprise me

nt gonna stop me from craving some right now

although i feel like one roti uses up a week's worth of healthy sodium intake

Love Ghandi and Mother India. I forget what the connection between the two is, but I would (and probably have) eat one of their roti off the damn floor.
