Yeah, north of university. Blue Danube is solid. Ace of Cups is up here, which means I can walk to shows occasionally. O'Briens is a good dive. Further north on High Street you go, the nicer and more suburban it gets.

Posting this here since it's getting lost in the churn of all the politics threads.

As you all know, our GOP-controlled legislature just sent a bunch of I N S A N E stuff to Kasich. He has a line-item veto he can use to strike these down. Give his constituent hotline a call and ask him to VETO the following:

- HB 48 (would allow permit holders, with the permission of boards of trustees and day-care center operators, to carry guns on public and private college campuses and day-care centers)
- SB 127 (20-week abortion ban)
- The Heartbeat Bill (would ban abortions after 7-weeks when a heartbeat is detected. fun fact: lawmakers snuck this one in as part of a larger child-abuse prevention bill!)

You can reach Kasich's office at: 614-644-4357 or 614-466-3555.

Done. Next time I should make a script instead of freewheeling it during a commercial break of a bengals game. I may have done more harm than good.

so uh
I went to Sam's (weird little motel/bar on US-23) a couple weekends ago and I'm dying to go back if anyone wants to meet up there some day
it's only a 2 hour drive for me, that's totally worth it to go hang out in a weird country bar on the shoulder of a highway, right?

idk really. my wife got a swanky job and we're in employee housing for the next month while looking for a space. looking for a house ideally with a yard and that is good for having a baby. we're making good money so we are looking to both 1) live in a cool neighborhood and 2) have a house that we actually really like. we have a few leads so far in clintonville and bexley (?)

defintiely into getting coffee, im unemployed starting next friday (actively looking for FT work in software development/copywriting in columbus too fwiw)

clintonville is definitely a good spot. the only downside is it’s still part of columbus public schools which can be pretty hit or miss (something to think about for the kid in the future). bexley wins in that regard. cville has a really cool sense of community and nice, older houses. the housing market here is pretty cutthroat so it’s best to jump on something as quickly as possible (and even then you’ll probably have to bid above asking price). i’ll keep my ear to the ground for any jobs in yr field.

as it stands now i’m off every sunday, monday and tuesday so let me know when you’re in town. do you still have my number?
