I like Blake Mills but that sounds awful

Anyhow, the more important question is "Are they bonin'?"

ugh, yeah i watched this thing on Blake Mills the other day out of interest, and some of it was just unbearably hyperbolic:

i mean, maybe he is this guitar wunderkind, but that makes songwriting choices like this all the more laughable:

kinda lost it in the first video, when the one guy is in awe of the "Just copy, paste, Google-search, and send it to myself" lyric like it's some kind of unprecedented, true-to-life wordplay.

that said, i liked "tipple" or whatever, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i like the youtube captures from the recent concerts of them collaborating on her older and recent material, which i didn't think detracted, and i think the untitled/love me song is great, in no small part due to his guitar parts throughout. maybe it's because my dad listened to a lot of pat metheny when i was growing up that i can't divorce myself from those sweet chops or something. can't vouch for guy's solo material but he seems like he'd be much better off playing than singing. and of course they're boning.

and murgatoid he's 27 and she's 36, it's a pretty logical progression from a 49 yo fiction writer. o course it won't last but that'll just drive her next album in 5 years or so so whatever.

This.
And, contrary to Duke's idiotic comments above, when I saw her with Blake Mills I was blown away. I thought he fit the songs brilliantly and his solos were full of restraint and matched the feeling of the songs exactly. One of the best shows I've ever been to, and I really hope they collaborate in the future.

New song plays over the Affair's opening credits. Would be nice to get a full(?) version at some point.
