Before Francisco could elaborate on his “chickens” comment, after the Mets’ 4-3 victory over the Orioles on Wednesday, he buttoned up.
“I think I’ve said too much already,” he said.

about to come in to blow this save

like ... what he said doesn't even make sense. unless he's talking about a-rod, specifically, then i guess it's pretty sensical.

Giants three games behind the Dodgers with Cain and Bumgarner against the A's and the Dodgers still without Kemp facing a surging Angels team this weekend before a head-to-head series.

8-)

AJ Burnett is the best SP in baseball if you pretend his 12ER start didn't happen.
His 11 other starts: 8-1, 1.87 ERA.

will someone tell the board Asian that the season doesn't end at the All Star Break and Kemp and Ellis will be back soon and things will be back to normal for the second half.

Though I should correct that, not everything is likely to be back to normal.

nah, you could do that with a lot of pitchers (though burnett has obviously been good)

take out dickey's 3rd start of the year and he's 11-0 with a 1.33 ERA

we're down 4-1 and leyland substituted danny worth for jhonny peralta just to do a double-switch because we're in a national league park and then pinch-hit in the pitcher's spot anyway in the ensuing half inning

the sight of jim leyland desperately grasping for life in the oversized drain of a running garbage disposal is the only thing keeping me sane in this crazy world

His longest appears to have been 396 feet.

Which would have been the 11th-longest home run hit yesterday.

You know your bullpen is good when the other team's #8 hitter appears with RISP in both the 8th and 9th innings.

Fortunately Thome leads off the bottom of the 9th with his 5th home run in like eight PAs.
