i think it's perfect; everything about it is awful, but together they make something far more awful than its parts.

also, maisie williams has dreadful dress sense. what's with that top button?

might as well ask in this thread, too

anyone know of a working stream? the "hipsters" one that's worked every other week is now only showing Real Female Orgasms from videogoo.com. doesn't seem to be switching over to the show.
well that was intense

it was a good speech.
I was wearing a Far Side t-shirt when he came over. "I bet you didn't think I was the sort of person who wore t-shirts," I told him. (Our school had a dress code.) "I have three."

I could see how e-mailing the wrong person about sexy bathtime could be embarrassing.

Nope, wildlings are against the walkers. That is why they burn the dead.

So isn't it book 4 when this starts to suck? I was kind of hoping we'd be further along in the story in light of that.

AMC must be thrilled about the runtime of this episode.

You still have two more seasons of good TV because they're splitting Book 3 into two seasons.

You might even have more than that, because signs point to the script writers already making moves to compensate for the crappiness of later books.

I'm mostly just skeptical that they would be willing to diverge far enough to fix anything significant.

Also they seem to have completely fucked up the logistics of the battle, if Stannis was meant to be able to retreat. Did he swim back to his castle or just sort of wade along the coast?

just assume that Stannis had some kind of retreat plan worked out but we didn't have time to see it. in other words...

I think assuming that Stannis would have an escape route planned might be worse than him getting retconned back across the ocean.

Stannis didn't have an escape route planned but his men who dragged him away did.
