i make maybe 5x as much as i used to and still don't save any money and i'd say the most discernible difference is that i now always order multiple drinks when i go out to eat

yeah the seasoning makes me want to cry but in the long run 4 months of investment in seasoning isn't that bad right

one time I was in this other country and a security officer from the US embassy was supposed to brief us on crime there, like how to not stick out as a foreigner, how to avoid making yourself a target of thieves

his only advice was "meditate on the transience of all material things"

my old roommate from columbus would make elaborate budgets for every upcoming Major Life Event. and he tended to use that as his primary excuse to get out of dating, going out, buying drinks, etc. it sucked being around him but he sure saved a lot
