Can't wait to get home and dive into this. Definitely one of my favorite bands going right now.

Saw them live for the second time this weekend, opening for Beach House. They were predictably awesome. I talked with Tatum about the Wake for a bit after the show, best dude.

last time I saw them they covered the go-betweens, spring rain

I'm really into Only Heather, Paradise, and Nocturne on this one

incredible follow-up record. i like how he preserved the aesthetic from the first lp and expanded on it. not a bad track, and the good ones are on repeat.

agree about the cover art being great, too.

I caught them live with Beach House as well over this past weekend (second time for me, too). They did not play 'Chinatown'. This seemed to create serious reverberations through the crowd -- "What?! No Chinatown?!"

Wild Nothing is coming through here again with DIIV soon. Excited for that one.

Solid new record, and I already adored the first one.

Nothing is really standing out on this one so far but it definitely sounds good. Love the first record.

first time the chorus appears in only heather ("makes me feel high") is so good

also love the instrumental section in paradise... almost catching roxy music vibes from that one

New Order is touring this year, apparently, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna take the loads of money I was gonna spend on them and use it towards a Wild Nothing road trip, since they aren't coming back to Pittsburgh.

because i prefer my Factory worship to be fresh

Standouts for me are "Nocturne" and "Rheya" after a couple listens

I thought this too but on subsequent listens that break felt a bit gratuitous..just wanted him to get back to the (damn good) song. I can hear you on roxy too

through the grass is my shit right now super weird rhythms on that
