hey guys i need to buy a scanner/printer so that i can scan materials to finally start working on this book

what are your suggestions?

i don't have, like, a TON of money, but i'm not super-broke either

I have an Epson Perfection 1650 from probably 2004 that still meets all of my scanning needs capably. I think it was in the $150-$200 range, I'm sure there is a more recent version of that line that you could find pretty easily. It can scan up to 1200dpi, I doubt you would need to go higher than that

I genuinely don't know how to take a decent picture of art (this is much brighter in person), but this is a painting I did last week on a takeout bag I stole from work. I'm going to do a series of four or five similar scenes on takeout bags.

Is getting a stylus for the iPad a good idea? I like the simplicity of Brushes and a finger for quick sketches out in the sun, it has a certain style to it I enjoy
