jeopardy needs weirdos with a seemingly endless stream of knowledge like him to be entertaining. i hope he sticks around

the only long-term champ this year i've wanted to lose quickly was this mouth-breather dude who won like two weeks worth of games around january

yeah i liked when dennis rang in and was like 'is it formic acid?' and trebek gave it to him because it was technically in the form of a question one day i want to ring in and be all 'are you talking about hatshepsut?'

Making Trebek high five his LA burn got a laugh out of me. Austin is alright.
For one, I don't want to be known as the guy who randomly goes around and fixes people's computers. Even though I do that.

but from the games I watched I wouldn't be surprised if he craps out early in ToC facing tougher competition.

i would also like to ask a question george

how much was he sort of playing up the looseness of his daily double betting? it seemed like a put on, but i haven't thought about wagering strategy since i read a bunch of interviews with neal pollack about his run.

the only legit crazy ass gamble seemed to be that one match when he put 34k on the final jeopardy clue

agreed that he is slow on buzzer, esp in first round. but he might be doing a rope-a-dope sort of thing there because he had some impressive runs at the end of DJ to seal things up and his first-in rate is actually pretty high. even if that's true, he's going to run into trouble in ToC against the best of the best like the christian guy who won the teacher tourney or Pranjal from earlier this year (who was first-in on almost 50% of clues I think). he was good at saving his best cat for last to give himself a cushion for FJ, and then even skilled challengers would miss easy FJs any way, and it will be hard to reproduce those conditions when the other ppl know shit like King Arthur backwards and forwards.

the DD betting was a complete put on, but that makes it fun.

Dolly and that dick lost him the game. I also love when the far-off third place dude fucks up the other two with some well-timed buzzers.
