one of my friends is exactly like that guy, I really want him to see dazed and confused because I know he'll react exactly the same way and I get a sick pleasure from getting worked up at things like that.
some good ones
-we were watching enter the void in the cinema and from about half an hour in I was pretty certain that he would declare it the best film of all time due to his obsession with japanese culture, drugs, and bullshit philosophy. of course afterwards he declares it the best film ever made and was furious when I disagreed, smugly dismissing me when I used 2001 as an example of a film I thought was better
-we were on ketamine and decided to watch a film, I put on wet hot american summer, literally no more than 1.5 minutes in, still the title sequence, not yet any dialogue at all, he goes pffft... you really think this is funny? I was just in absolute disbelief. after talking through the next 5 minutes he declares it terrible and puts on eraserhead, which is probably the worst possible film to watch on k. after about half an hour of pretending to enjoy it he finally caves in and turns it off
