the through the ages mobile port was great. i'd love to see a really loving port of scythe, the game itself is solid but not particularly innovative but the visuals and setting are top knotch

this sounds insane

Seamless or not, this city does look stunning. It seems almost GTA-like in its ambition. The crowds are large, and the amount of detail is almost overwhelming. At a glance it brings to mind the Prague of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided but seems more open, colourful, bustling and noisy. Bars are full of drinkers slumped over the counters, markets are busy with food stands, street cleaners block the pavement. At one point, we see a holographic police “caution” tape, cutting off a crime scene from the public. I think: “Oh yes, I’ve seen this in movies.” But then we also see a holographic reconstruction of the crime itself, a brutal assault (or murder?) playing out behind the tape for the benefit of the investigating cops. And look, I know, it’s a demo, it’s an E3 demo and they are choreographed and fine-tuned and designed to be flawless often at the expense of being truly representative of the finished thing. But MAN ALIVE, THIS CITY.

very into this

gonna go all out on the first pass, but I kind of want to try a playthrough where I make a really obese hacking master and see how much of the game I can complete by staying indoors on a computer

since we're here, i've been playing the new talisman additions (in comparison to the base game) and it's a lot more fun

still not a great game but the difference is night-and-day

what makes realm royale cool? and i guess different enough from fortnite, which i honestly don't find very appealing. i saw some mount spawning in realm and thought that seems to be really missing the point wrt to transport in a battle royale game, but maybe it doesn't matter

there's no wall/fort/structure building

different classes are involved -- assassins, hunters, mages, etc. usual classes -- with different skills special to each

you can craft gear/weapons/skills at forges located across the map (with a certain object locked to each forge so you can't just camp a forge and keep crafting the shit you want)

i mean it's all right. i didn't particularly enjoy fortnite, kind of liked pubg more, but realm royale was decent to try

i hear it's better with a full squad tho

i think i’ve said this in here before but

i bounced off fortnite entirely and figured i’d play one round of realm royale, roll my eyes and move onto something else, but it’s really got me. feels like Vanilla WoW World PvP/Overwatch: Battle Royale

i also felt totally the same way about the mount thing before playing. and didn’t think the chicken or forge aspects would be whatsoever my thing. but i think it comes together into something that works surprisingly well

the combat is bouncy and mobile and engaging and fun in a way that not much stuff i’ve played recently is

does realm royale have a 50/50 mode? i'm surprised at how little i care about the BR genre given how much time i've sunk into battlefield and other FPSes

fights are way too skirmishy, there being entrenched “sides” wouldn’t work with the high mobility ability-heavy combat i think

the chicken mechanic sucks until the one time it actually matters and then its pretty interesting

I am running the game at the lowest possible settings I can find on my laptop so I don't like the chiekn thing becuase i can't aim

i also don't like the loot because aiming at loot is hard

I think its pretty cool. Forges are an interesting sort of opt-in loot drop with a public count down and some pretty good cover. I like the focus on movement abilities.

have you played any other ones? ive dabbled a bit w/ two of the psp versions of 3 (3 portable and silent line) and theyre just like... brutally hard and not very rewarding. i dunno. i keep thinking i want to give them another shot but it never goes well. i guess ac1 too.

i just dont like the way they lay out the missions very much, and even with dual-stick remapping on the vita they feel kinda clumsy.

but again no idea about 4 or 5

i guess i still have them installed maybe ill play 3 now
