anybody have issues with L2/R2 buttons on ps4? L2 stopped responding on my controller and I can't figure it out. I've taken the controller apart and nothing seems to be wrong with the button assembly, nothing stuck, springs intact, little white pad thingy is in place over the button contact. controller is otherwise working fine.

none of the repair videos on YouTube seem to apply.

mine were starting to go before I sold my console. Beave removed the springs from his because he was having similar issues. something inside cuts through the membrane that gives the buttons their sponginess.

i don’t think it’d be enjoyable solo, there’s way too much multitasking, some levels you can barely pass with two people even. i feel like it could be possible if you controlled two controllers but idk if you want to do that

You wake up on a remote planet straight out of a 1950s sci fi novel cover and are immediately tasked with building communications beacons while dealing with toxic acid rain. You then find out people can fly in and out of your world and you can build bases, etc. It feels like a throwback and it feels really futuristic as well. Aesthetically, it reminds me of this ‘90s PC game called Outcast, which while ugly in a way, always gave me a really strong sense of something like Out of This world in 3D.

It’s a really unique experience and I’m impressed the team continues to try to deliver on their original promises. This type of game will probably only be fully realized in another decade or so, but I love the promise. I think the new multiplayer integration has turned it into something as exciting as the original demon’s souls, which also blew my mind.

Never played the original release, which I know lots of people hated, but this feels like the game I read about a few years ago.

La Mulana 1 is on GOG too

It's a really good game, but kind of obtuse and you are meant to explore everything and try out weird stuff and actually write down clues because you'll get a clue for a room you'll see an hour later etc. I assume that La Mulana 2 is gonna be a lot like that too.

A lot of reviews dings La Mulana 1 for being hard and not obvious, but I think that is sort of the point and I feel it's not a game that will do well for reviewers who need to beat a game on a deadline.

I would say it's a metroidvania but a puzzle/mystery one and not an action one

I wanted to like doom, but I wouldn't suggest it to anyone who has good memories of the original ones

prey videos look more like what I wanted from doom

Yeah it was a very deliberate design choice based on the game that inspired it (Maze of Galious). I just fell in love with the MSX trappings of the original even if it was impossible to beat without the aid of a guide a few times. As someone who once lost a whole summer to beating Legacy of the Wizard it's always been up my alley.

I always thought it was the closest we got to a real indiana jones action/archaeology game. All the bits of lore that you pick up from the tablets felt like that actually mattered even if they didn't for progression. I wish I still had my notebook of notes from the original game from like a decade ago. I don't really love the quasi-PSP graphic style of the remake or sequel but I'll support this team no matter what.

I beat Banner Saga 1 last night. I really came to enjoy it more as time went on - I think the story actually settled into place as you progress through the chapters. Very pumped to see what happens next (was also happy to see you get a discount on 2 if you own 1 on the eShop (plus you also get a big discount on 3 if you have 1&2)).

also I killed Alette and now I feel terribleToggle Spoiler
