put some more time into HZD.
played up to shortly before the last battle.
I don't think I'll boot it up again. I just don't care anymore.
I know everyone loves this game, but it really wasn't for me.
not a single original idea or interesting mechanic.
everything is a bit samey. weapon upgrades and skills are boring.
the map seems huge, but feels very small. and I almost never fast traveled.
it's just openworldgame.exe light. no depth. no variety.

i've mostly just played spiderman with a small amount of sleep since it came out. almost at 50%
they did such a good job of making you a total badass if you play well, but ignore your spidey sense and you're dead

the combat is legitimately incredible and far more deep than the arkham series (and i love the combat in those)
launcher -> air combo -> air dodge the bullets from the guy who started shooting you mid combo -> web up and pull his gun away and hit another guy with it -> press square to swing kick another guy and repeat
planting on walls and launching off into dudes is great too. and then there's the electric webs and rapid fire web shooters.

yeah it's amazing how they incorporate certain mechanics from Arkham but make them better and deeper (i'm so stoked to explore all the suit powers and work my way down the skill trees). idk this is the perfect superhero game.
i always look forward to whatever miscellaneous trinket is in the next backpack too

that's certainly one of the strengths of the arkham games if also one more way they played things safe
i'd really like to play a superhero game with interiors as dense and interesting and without safety net as a great metroid game

nope. interiors are rare and pretty small and simple. most of the missions take place on the street and on rooftops.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Downloadable_contentmy brother got the game so i think i can get it on my ps4 with his account, or at least that's how ps3 stuff works.
i def won't buy it til the NEW RELEASE HYPE has died down, and the almost inevitable complete edition with DLC stuff included, namely the symbiote suit. glad they have 2099 though.
also wouldn't mind the FF suit, and the paper-bag-mask suit etc
