sentries just got nerfed, they give dazed instead of wound now. the 3x elite is still the hardest first level encounter usually tho imo

yeah, blitzed through it. it's a beauty and some of these puzzles are quite clever, but i'll probably have to echo the 'value' remark. it's quite short (60-120 min) but is definitely worth $15

pablito wrote:sentries just got nerfed, they give dazed instead of wound now. the 3x elite is still the hardest first level encounter usually tho imo

dazed presents its own problems (because i assume they get shuffled into the deck instead of the discard pile?). but at least it prevents those stupid 5 minute long matches where my deck is 30 wounds

this is a handy reference sheet that details all the encounters in slay the spire that i just found for anyone interested: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... edit#gid=0. now i know the mausoleum/serpent are truly junk and don't have some sort of hidden secrets

edit: and some tier lists, some of which i disagree w immensely, but should help at least one dude who spams me with what to pick on literally eery single card

Yeah maybe my favorite game of all time is L4D2.

no bullshit microtransactions just pure fun. If you get 3 pals together no other game gives you the same sensation of playing ghost in the graveyard in your neighborhood as this game

First Nintendo Switch emulator has appeared. From some of the people that do Citra (3DS Emulator). It's still only at the point of running some homebrew applications as there's no GPU functionality at all but still nuts that there's one out this early.

Yeah when I saw the branching paths I laughed a little bit. The RPG progression does seem way more rewarding than the unlocks in sts atleast?

Funnily enough it's more the BPRD art style than the genre archetype that has me almost putting down for DSD

deep sky derelicts has actual dungeon crawling so it's more like your ftls. i'm not too far in but the comic book cinematics are nice.

slay the spire just feels abit short (i.e. i've done most of the achievements, unlocked everything, and feel like i've "figured out" the game to the best of my ability after 5-6 days). i had no idea it was so popular too--it and they are billions are constantly top games on twitch, and a bunch of my steam friends are also playing it, which is a rare thing for me. down with hearthstone.

unfortunatey, i know how these cinematic-trailers-but-no-gameplay-games go, but this looks gorgeous

bongo wrote:are there any interesting indies slated for ps4 this year

idk. indivisible? wattam? indies on consoles seem like a niche's niche. there's prolly a buncha platformers that i haven't looked at like celeste and blasphemous. would recommend hand of fate 2 if u haven't yet

anyway mostly just wanna get my hands on nantucket and avernum 3 this month, see how that bevontule kickstarter goes, prolly try out lost sphear and legrand legacy with no high hopes for either. lost sphear looks like absolute balls and so was i am setsuna.

chairkicker wrote:i love eternal darkness for what it is but it can't really compete with resident evil in game design. i mean the adventure game slant, the puzzle solving you do in the roivas mansion, is stronger than re's basic lock and key stuff but resident evil is a much stronger survival horror game. especially if we're putting eternal darkness next to REmake

alone in the dark is still incredible, however

Would go for a Twinsen’s Odyssey remake. Now that’s a game with atmosphere and horrendous combat. Shame Reynal’s comeback game didn’t turn out so hot.

LBA/Twinsen's Odyssey are two games I have promised myself never to revisit, because they're no way they live up to the sentiment in my memory
