It's isometric but kinda roguelike

That games a lot of fun

Is Brigador better than the Genesis Battletech game that I think uses the engine from some attach helicopter game?

This thing had better be incredibly good if it's keeping new Shadowrun modules away. I mean I expect it will be, but I still miss Shadowrun.

Fuck, looks like I'm just extremely racist about isometric Genesis games. The Strike games are EA while the Battletech one is Malibu Interactive.

But you can see why I'd be confused:

If I had the kind of control over myself that I wish I had, I would play fighting games. But the self is an illusion so I play turn-based deck-building roguelites and Civ IV: Dune Wars.

I don't really get how the gameplay loop of fighting games could be considered shallow.

Do it. It looks good. Also

Getting in on a fighting game while everyone else is learning it is the best + the most important thing about choosing your first fighting game is that you have people to play with.

It's a genre that did not age well for a lot of people me included. I guess it's either now you're a hardcore fighting game fan or you just don't care for them. No middle anymore. Back in the days everyone played fighting games.

I used to play SF2 but now with all this talk of combos and v-frames I just don’t have the dedication to learn anything that takes more than an hour to not die constantly. And while I remember all the moves from vintage SF I can’t remember combo presses in any new games, like for example the way platformers have complex move sets now.

i want to like iron harvest but i think the wargame series turned me off from RTS once and for all

it's just too frenetic and stressful and it's too easy to miss thing. same reason i never got steel division despite it being very much my shit (also the strong multiplayer focus)
