glave was my first weapon, after a short intro with sword/shield. love flying around+tagging+easy mounts. been rocking a long sword build, though. the deeps/breaks are the best i've found, though I've yet to try out most of the other weapon types it seems. also have a water hammer for fire resistant mons.

In Mon hun I started with the gunlance. Now I exclusively use the regular lance because I like the mobility, airborne attacks, power block and endless combos. I’m building them in every variety to go with different sets. Also building the Damascus set and intend to use the greatsword with it to mix things up.

I haven't really dabbled much with elemental damage but the more stuff I research it seems like fire damage really got left behind. Hammer/gs are pretty brain dead and while this barroth/urg set is making lance OP i feel like im becoming bad and not learning because im constantly blocking, so I wanted to try either glaive or horn but I only really play with a few buddies once in a blue moon so I guess I'm going fast/jumpin. Would love a paralyze glaive without wasting a slot for free element!!!

Im still rocking the hammer. Its pretty easy once you get into a rhythm but landing hits with it still so satisfying. Ill probly branch out mroe once i get to the super hard high level stuff now

I built up the water lance first, but now I prefer the fire based blue prominence lance. On paper it’s not as strong, but somehow there’s always little explosions with each blow causing things to fall off a lot more and attacks are never deflected so you could just bash away uninterrupted. I love it!

hammer and glave are both super fun weapons to use. there is also something super satisfying about the slicing sound fx and long reach of the long sword. i really need to give the lances a try.
