I know this is gonna sound insane, but does anyone here have GTX 1080 who hasn't bought Destiny 2 and wants to play it?

I have a copy laying around that I'll sell cheap but I'm pretty sure you have to have a 1080/Ti for it to activate

(Thanks Nvidia)
try the data then reply

yep

this also leads me to talk to way too many NPCs

oh yeah i mean regardless of what i think of story i always watch all cutscenes though.

Listen, im the person who HAS to sit through the ending credits and if you have tried to sit through a modern's game credits, let me tell you some AAA ones take 45 mins. Not a joke, one of the Arkham was 45 mins long, i timed it. The thing is i think i had a game not too long ago that beat it but i cant remember which. GTA V? not sure but i think i had a like 55 mins one some time. It's completely ridiculous.

voice acting is where I draw a sharp line. I will turn it off 90% of the time unless it's incredibly polished AAA stuff like Witcher 3 or Destiny 2.

nothing pulls me out of a game faster when I've scaled the 1,000 Steps of Ashlanok or whatever to finally stand before the Last Steward and when he opens his mouth it's just some made-for-TV Californian twerp who voices a dozen other chars in the game, and he never knows which word to stress in the line.

voice acting is literally why I can't play Divinity: Original Sin.

my fomo is strongest when i'm playing a game, in that i know my time is better spent reading almost any book, so i have a hard time sitting through any extended dialogue or writing. i think i just want a world that i've bought into well enough and fun mechanics

people cite the baron story in w3 as an example of good game writing but i could not care less

yeah, shadow of chernobyl with the zrp mod

I bounced off hard on that early mission where you repel the attack in the junkyard but I was playing way too aggressively. looking forward to spending a lot of time with it.

I think made a mistake doing my first ever Ironman run on War of the Chosen. Just lost my reaper, skirmisher and psionic.

I think I'm finally done with Witcher 3. There's a bunch of side quests I need to do in Skellige still which I'll probably wrap up tonight but after that it's all over.

meant to post this yesterday but there's a demo out there for Session, which is a spiritual successor to Skate and is shortly launching or already has launched a kickstarter. i'm gonna use this post to remind myself to grab that demo

i guess they wanted to take skate's analog control one step further by giving you control of one foot on the left stick and the other foot on the right stick. but in practice that means using the left and right triggers to steer your board and it's extremely cumbersome to do that

i'm really in love with Superflight right now, i picked it up out of curiosity when it came out this week and somehow have already logged 7 hours

$2.69 on steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/732430/Superflight/

i'm a bit stunned by how perfect it is

the colors/lighting are gorgeous, the flight model is perfect with an amazing sense of speed (if you're into that), the procedural maps are surprisingly varied and often perfectly suited to the mechanics, the scoring system rewards expressiveness and risk-taking but you can also ignore it if you're just there to enjoy the flow

perfect game to chill out to with some music playing in the background

i'm hooked
