just tried realm royale and it was pretty cool

hoping it comes to ps4 soon though because i also just found out that i now hate/am terrible with kb+m

i cannot IMAGINE preferring a controller for a shooter but it feels like more and more a lot of people are feeling that way

look at pubg. it's a pretty messy, buggy, ugly game in many ways and it's running on ue4, arguably the easiest to use modern engine currently available. and despite its messy state it plays rather well because that's where the devs have put much of their focus

With Geralt, you had a character whose sexuality was very well defined by the novels and the short stories and the previous games. But in this one, it's up to you to decide. We've got NPCs that are gay, we've got NPCs that are bi, we've got NPCs that are straight, because we want them to feel real and that they have preferences as well."

This also extends into how you want to form your relationships, whether it's casually or monogamously. CD Projekt Red is also striving to provide way options than it ever did in The Witcher series. "Yes, we're aiming for that," Mills said. "We're aiming for big, complicated relationships that continue over the course of the game, but also casual encounters that don't matter that much."

anyway, as a kind of aside to all that first person vs third person talk pages back: you all remember when even exclusively third person games at least offered you a stationary, free-camera first person view?

i think that became a trend in part due to third person camera limitations at the time, in part because super mario 64 did it and in part because it's a nice alternative for taking in the 3d space around you, but it's been gradually phased out of modern third person games and i really miss it

uhh, i just mean a dedicated first person view toggle in third person games. holding triangle in mgs1, for example. you're fixed in place, you can't do anything except look around, but you can get a good look at your surroundings.

though now that i think about it super mario 64 didn't actually have a toggleable first person view, just a really intimate over the shoulder free camera that let you get about the same experience

he even talked about how the world map wont be as sprawling as Witcher's, and that they're focusing on verticality this time around. i can't think of a better reason to give us flying cars than that imo
