it's killing me that they are playing such a super accessible east coast run when i'm still in denver, then a bunch of west coast shows when i'm in the middle of moving across the country. i'm probably not going to see them this summer.

i like 9/30/00 a lot but part of that is definitely that i watched the live in vegas dvd daily for a while. clifford ball is excellent too, as is that version from like '88 that circulates a lot.

Yeah, Vegas '00 is probably the best.

Coney Island and Merriweather Post '00 are both great too.

i have a memory of my roommate in college talking about the clifford ball curtain endlessly while we came down from mushrooms and threw water balloons at the womens track team from our rooftop

So are all the other ones me and Guy mentioned besides Clifford Ball. Not sure what the point of naming favorites of non-With versions would be, they're basically all identical.

without with, the curtain is a strategic respite. it works best when sandwiched b/w 2 heavy hitters.

6/10/94 - axilla II > the curtain > tweezer

that's why i set clifford ball, just cause it kicks off a really great set perfectly

but yeah, beyond that criteria they're all pretty much the same

Used to be a good google group, way back when. Shame what's become of it now. :ugeek:
His standup was so fucking bro'd out and he had like 20 minutes of material that hinged on the audience having seen Grandma's boy.

I took a decade long break from the dead, maybe longer. circumstances lead me back, deeper than ever.

I've posted about it before but the curtain with from the Colorado88 release is fantastic.

I watched some of the stream from SPAC but wasn't too impressed. I might try to do nye this year if they play in New York
