Real solid show. That Ghost was so deep man. I mean how did it feel to be melted by that?

Hey I know this is a weird first post in this thread but I’m a lapsed fan getting back into the band, listening to the last few tours live streaming and this has been a great show so far but I do have a question : when did trey start playing that riff that sounds like the chorus to Simon and Garfunkel “homeward bound”? I’ve heard it all over the last few tours and in like 3 songs this show already
Also, I'm not hosebeast

Interesting. I couldn’t be listening to these shows more and that’s not something that’s showed itself to me

Others would be able to answer more accurately, but I picked up on it last year sometime? I love how it just sort of appears and then binds things together on some level. Like a sighting or something.

He does lock into years long themes. I’ve heard Mountain Jam all over the place since last summer. 2.0 was a proliferation of “fat man in a little coat” riffs. And many others. There’s also the Paradise City chord progression bliss jam as seen in CHI Wedge, Blossom 15, and a couple of other spots.

My brain is really bad at putting these licks and teases into their rightful sources, so that’s really all I got.

No reprise eh? Starting to even out VHG's Tweezer/Reprise ratio, at least until nite 3.

Show looks nuts from the setlist and timings - when was the last one with two legit 20 minute jams - jam night? Maybe Dicks?

Blackstar would be a super sick Halloween cover. Really if they just started doing an annual Bowie album I wouldn't mind.

I kinda think it's Kid A's year with the Everything cover last year and all the new tones and ambient samples Trey's got. If it's not that then I hope it's still something from the past 20 years.

Phish Coventry dot blogspot dot com

I spotted Pauly, whose website that is, in the next section of MSG at Strawberry night last year before the show, went and shook his hand and said thanks.
