I've been making a living doing QuestionableContent for almost a decade now, music is my other great passion in life. It's what I studied in college and eventually got a degree for!

Oh my God my parents took me to some Van Gogh exhibit of his late works where all of the paintings had these placards about how like this was his calm pastoral phase and it's like no, this is when he was a mental patient.

no come on if you look at his video and his fundraising goal it seems kind of reasonable and you just go "aw shucks let the little weiner have his vanity opeth tribute project"
now obviously this is going to rake in obscene amounts of money and turn into something else entirely. but in a world where we have financial dominatrices and camgirls with amazon wishlists i can't blame him for getting while the gettings good
man 2 people were about to go to bed tonight and saw that the questionablecontent guy was recording a death metal album and decided to drop $500 on him before they hit the sack
I still stand by what I said above but I just assumed it would be his legion of fans buying advance copies of the albums. now I have to wonder what these aggressively shitty 2013 versions of Lorenzo de' Medici look like, where they get their money, why and how they do anything
I know it's like morally wrong and really cruel to tell someone to kill themselves without any hint of sarcasm but this guy is one of the few people I'd have no regrets over outside of like african generals who kidnap children as soldiers
This is like, a completely reasonable thing to do. The fact that his fans are crazy and he's gonna make way too much money from it is a whole thing, but asking for less than 10 grand to record a album is really reasonable.

i wouldn't even contribute to this if it was to buy him a cybernetic hand to replace the one he mangled in his botched suicide attempt and i'm generally pro-cyborg.

reasonable for a normal person but still
when you're not a normal person and you do this it's a gross form of affirmation seeking. the grossest because it's measured not by retweets or whatever but by how much money you can get your fans to give you
Just to recap, Jeph Jacques a suicidally depressed aspie who draws a not-very-good comic and has a one-person instrumental metal act based on a band in said comic. It's taken him less than 24 hours to make more money than I'll see all year. I was going to post a QC strip in here but instead I think I'll go off and think about my life.
