I think I originally got the recommendation from the old anime thread, did anyone watch the new season of Genshiken?

kill la kill looks more promising than gurren lagann imo.

the first episode of kyoukai no kanata was a little disappointing. not sure kyoani can pull off this kind of thing. the youmu at the end looked really cool though.

infinite stratos 2 looks like it will be amazing. log horizon looks okay. am i missing anything?

i'm also like 15 episodes into eureka seven. does the story get better?

anime's cool since it requires so little investment. you can bounce around shows and tell if you'll like something in 5 minutes.

excited for kill la kill since little witch academia's the most fun thing i've seen all year. dunno about that battle outfit tho.

new season of monogatari is as good as it's ever been.

I downloaded these from the last thread:

Polar Bear Cafe
Paranoia Agent
Planetes
Shingeki no Kyojin
Mushishi

But I haven't watched any of them...

Finished attack on Titan but I'm not sure when the next season comes out. Gotta check out kill la kill because I loved gurren lagann.

I don't know why Shingeki no Kyojin is as popular as it is, because it is such a silly concept.

you should watch Genshiken, even if you skip the first two series and go straight for the new one.

i really like existentially-leaning animes that focus on technology a la ghost in the shell, patlabor, evangelion, neo tokyo, perfect blue, etc. i've seen the staples like akira, paprika, macross and stuff. anybody have any good reccs for stuff like that? i'd appreciate it.

attack on titan just draws you in and is unpredictable which makes it really addicting. little by little they're peeling back the world. i haven't read the manga, but am considering because of this break.

i watched the first episode of kill la kill which i was pretty into until the
the fan service sailor suit
. other than that i'm looking forward to the show because the style was pretty cool.

i also watched the first episode of the new hajime no ippo show and it's pretty much what you'd expect, which i'm fine with.

yeah also check out texhnolyze.

edit: same writer as lain. dark cyberpunk that is slow-moving and artful.
