i just sort of stared at the screen and then started laughing and my girlfriend had no idea what was going on. i played her the song and we both laughed for about five minutes

for context the kids are siblings who have been rescued by comely district attorney linda hamilton and man-beast ron perlman from a series of abusive orphanages that sold children to each other and forced them to pick pockets on the street, oliver twist style, and they are finally reunited in the safety of the subterranean world inhabited by the beast and other rejects and refugees from society

sounds better than it was

the "Don't you say, ''Thanks'?'" "What ?" / "Don't you say, 'Thank you?'" "What ?" at the end of neo violence by tough alliance is from "Buffalo '66"

can't find the clip online though -- i think it's around the start of the movie when Vincent Gallo and Christina Ricci first meet and she gives him some change to use a pay phone.

this hit hard when I first watched B66.
also the first time I took ketamine I also watched Inland Empire for the first time and had a breakdown when the bit burial samples at the start of Untrue came on.

I think the fact that it's sampled from Beauty and the Beast is pretty common knowledge but I'd never actually seen the clip before/I had no idea it sampled the strings as well as the vocals. That was just too much for me

also the visual to the shine 2009 one is funny as hell, he seems like a plausible band member or something
