people realize that the Mrs. Doubtfire thing was suppose to be a lift, right? Like Mara Wilson was the waitress and all

Yep. Saw that movie when I was very young and have no recollection of it.

This was a good episode regardless.

:D i really loved that moment. seeing ilana get vulnerable is definitely this show trending towards what i thought i saw last starting to happen last ep. I'm kinda glad to see the show approaching some consistency in storytelling and not always jumping around vignettes so much. i love it all though.

also re: Mrs Doubtfire, doesn't everyone remember Abbi's self-proclaimed love for Sally Fields?? It's not surprising.

Ilana even does a really good sally field impression (IT WAS YOU THE WHOLE TIME??)

actually i was watching it unfold and at first my thing was "do they realize they're ripping off Mrs. Doubtfire??" then it became quite obvious

Has this been mentioned yet? They're doing a three-part stoner special for 4/20.

this might be my favorite broad city episode yet! I love this show the most when they're involved in insane and stressful scenarios but still have time to wade through the public awkwardness that impedes their (very selfish) adventures. the airport security scene was legendary both for their physical performances and for using Ilana's eccentric character successfully. very excited for part 2.

This week's was such a classic. I was reminded that the Philly Station/wedding episode in Season 1 was, by far, the worst of the first season. And this episode felt like a great retread of that without everything that made it suck (broad one-off side characters as leads). This season (3) still feels much more labored and less relaxed than S2, but I might prefer it overall to S1.

The back half of this season has really elevated what had been a let down third season.

Didn't like the stewardesses thing much but cool ep otherwise

Is the matchmaking thing a real part of those trips or are they making fun or something that I don't get? I don't know anything about Jewish stuff

Time Traveling Bong is pretty patchy, I think I liked the first half more than the second half - the future segment was by far the worst. The problem with a lot of these concept/parody ideas in TV is when the concept itself takes the place of the joke writing.
