Will be in NYC/Brooklyn mid-July with two other people. Is there any possible way to find a place to stay for like 150$ a night in this city? Or is that unrealistic AF?

Airbnb. Did a staycation with a friend for a weekend in brooklyn last september, it was 98$ a night.

Anyone else planning on going to Ladyfag's Ladyland festival Friday? I have an extra ticket if anyone wants to buy it... would sell for half face value to get rid of it. PM me if interested.
my bf just texted me about it. it's pretty close by to me but been seeing brooklyn mirage a lot w/ the instagays lately which i don't know does to my desire to go.
i'd consider it but on saturday morning we're going to jacob riis, then two separate friends house parties in the afternoon and evening, and then everybooty at BAM.
People searching for roommates post some ridiculous requirements: " Have a schedule where you don’t spend too much time at home". I think when you are paying any rate for rent. You should be allowed to be home as you please just because someone found the apartment first doesn't entitle them to anything over the other person.
why do people have loud long conversations at concerts while the acts are playing. three huge bros in the back today at bk steel wouldn't shut the fuck up during the main act towards the end. its a damn concert not a bar GUH

yes, and i refuse to live any place where this is going on
i look up the place on streeteasy and compare my share to the last-rented price. or i come up with some excuse to say i want to see the lease before i move in and if they balk you know what's going on. if it's not an equal share and there is no reason for it like me having a larger/better room, i will definitely raise it an issue. if this makes them go find another roommate, so be it. it's obviously less socially awkward to raise it before you move in than after you are already there a few months.
it's especially annoying to me when the primary tenant is from a privileged background and trying to make an extra buck on a place that meets the criteria to be rent-stabilized. this is just one of the worst forms of petty bourgeois mentality.
