Blue Bottle coffee has the best employees. I feel like I have to tip them. They're the chillest cashiers and nicest people just like at trader joes

im going to cote tomorrow for dinner for the first time. i couldnt find any reservation on opentable but they use a different reservation system via their website and there are way more tables available there.

$55 corkage fee though is quite lame. seems like theyre really milking it now that theyve gotten all this attention.

i barely liked st anselm but that bar steak was good for the money. i think theyve increased the price considerably over the years though.

diner is on the decline. ive had mediocre meals the last 3 times ive gone. and i think the staff has pretty much jumped ship now that tipping is included.

The Emperor's Son wrote:the burger [at emmy squared] is superior than their flagship's and somehow one of my top 3 in the city

I had the burger (not the menu burger, but a slight variation: double beef patty, american cheese, bacon, basil aioli on a pretzel bun) at emily squared last night. it was incredible. I'm not a bacon on my burger kinda guy, but it totally worked here... thin but not too crispy, did not overwhelm the beef. the pizza is very good, but the burger is on another level

not that I'm surprised because I usually trust your opinion, but good call TES
