i downloaded steamworld dig 2 this AM but i am holding off until i finish up metroid, which should hopefully be tonight/tomorrow.

word on the street is that walmarts and targets are going to have a shit ton of SNES Classics available next friday. the only good thing about that bundle that i got is that it doesn't ship until october, so if i snag one at retail next friday i should still be able to cancel the bundle.

gonna look into getting a good price on a switch sometime in the next month.

Really wanting to do this too. Trying to hide the switch from my wife is the only thing holding me back

I also really ran outta steam with Mario x Rabbids. It's a charming package but the strategic element is so unforgiving that you either sweep the match or are wasted very quickly. I have yet to have any "close call" wins. Just kind of boring after the first two worlds.

Target is updating their inventories for the snes classic. Looks like the rumors are true of there being a shitload of em out there

http://brickseek.com/target-inventory-checker?sku=207-29-7001

Also, if you pre-ordered from target, they all seem to have updated their delivery date from Oct 5 to release day on the 29th.

Stoked! Movers you can probably cancel that thinkgeek bundle

my kid is gonna flip this weekend when it arrives. trying to figure out what game would be best for a 5 year old that wouldn't be too difficult.

The Mini SNES subreddit seems to be filled with reports of lots of stock but if you guys don't have preorders I'd still jump on one Day 1. 50 consoles per store will sell through pretty quickly and who knows when they'll restock this side of Christmas. I haven't gotten any confirmation on my preorder except it still being "In Process" but will be there at like 10am to collect it.

also worth pointing out that the dude who initially hacked the NES Classic has already claimed to have interfaced with the SNES classic.

after hacking my NES and adding every single game, i can say that while it slays, i think i'm going to be a bit more selective this time. still rips though to have everything that the console comes with, and then to potentially add Chrono Trigger, Terranigma, etc., etc.

It is with great sadness that I am announcing the closure of David-Tennant-News.com by the DT Forum. I have run the site since 2011 when we published our first new post about David Tennant reading Shakespeare’s 12 Sonnet. And in the seven years since it was founded, there have been over 9000 news articles, 700 background pages and 8000 photos about David Tennant’s work.

The SNES hacking subreddit has confirmed the internals are almost exactly the same as the NES. Someone had the full SNES software running on the original NES model already. So if you have that already you'll be able to use both eventually.
