botw question

am i missing something about arrow availability? every time i’ve seen someone else play they have like 80 basic arrows and a bunch of every other kind. my game progress is....not correlating with increased arrow amounts. i loot chests i see, buy some from beedle sometimes, i think i use them pretty sparingly, but i always have like 20 basic arrows and <5-10 of a couple other kinds, then i’ll hit a major test of strength and get wiped out. i’m definitely not generally getting more arrows over time. where the arrows

As you progress in the game, as long as you are getting enough gems and monster parts, money will become no object. I always stock up on plain arrows whenever the opportunity presents.
Also I feel like I was getting chests of elemental arrows more often as I got stronger, but I could be wrong. At one point I had like 60 bomb arrows and I wasn’t buying any

yknow....i’m not sure anyone has ever said this, but the rain is a mystifyingly terrible part of this game

Boss battles the only thing I'm not gleefully looking forward to for sure. On world 6 now.

To be honest I skipped most major strength tests on my first run through because I knew arrows would fly to stand a chance. Most other situations where I use arrows I get a decent amount of them back from the ground, and then there are chests which make me end up in the green overall.

well yes, because those games are terrible. the demo of Octopath had more to say in 30 mins than either of those games, and watching the end of the video above has me optimistic.

Octopath looks cool.

Question on DK - is the Funky Kong or whatever easy level easy enough for my 7 year old to play? She plays Odyssey with Assist Mode on and enjoys Kirby.

I'm still kinda mad that Tropical Freeze is $60, but I guess I should just bite the bullet.

After playing further, I've found that Fusion is a lot better than I remember. I think k I prefer it to Zero Mission. The SA-X and the tension it inspires is perfect. Really adds another layer to the typical Metroid experience

I've got a six year old and i've found that 2d platformers are much more unforgiving for kids than 3d ones like odyssey, like my kid could beat odyssey by himself but had an impossible time beating even the first level of smb 3. Do the DK games have a "run" button like the 2d mario platformers? My kid just couldn't handle figuring out running and jumping.

finished up the main line part of DK tonight and it definitely lived up to the hype...almost don't even mind the whole 60 bucks bs!

i'm now going back and replaying levels doing the collecting stuff, finding more of the hidden exits etc.....some of these bonus levels are really incredible too

the one thing mechanically ive had the most trouble with in this game is getting the timing down of the mine cart jumps off an enemy to get the extra bounce/height...i'm so inconsistent with them

also i finally just noticed the physical version of this has a reversible funky cover 8-)

lol, so the first labyrinth i did was the one in the extreme northwest, as i’ve mentioned, that i think i was very under strength for. the whole time i was doing it i was very impressed at how uncompromising it was—very very few visual markers, a real labyrinth full of sheer walls

just made it to the one near robby’s and i realize...if you have the tower for the area discovered, you can see the entire labyrinth. it isn’t really a maze at all. i didn’t realize it because i hadn’t gotten the tower for the other one because i didn’t have the cold weather stuff. oops
