Question on DK - is the Funky Kong or whatever easy level easy enough for my 7 year old to play? She plays Odyssey with Assist Mode on and enjoys Kirby.

I've got a six year old and i've found that 2d platformers are much more unforgiving for kids than 3d ones like odyssey, like my kid could beat odyssey by himself but had an impossible time beating even the first level of smb 3. Do the DK games have a "run" button like the 2d mario platformers? My kid just couldn't handle figuring out running and jumping.

one of my fav games for the tension alone. staying up late with my nightlight on to play metroid fusion as a kid... the memories

Yes, I've definitely seen this in Odyssey for sure.

finished up the main line part of DK tonight and it definitely lived up to the hype...almost don't even mind the whole 60 bucks bs!

i'm now going back and replaying levels doing the collecting stuff, finding more of the hidden exits etc.....some of these bonus levels are really incredible too

the one thing mechanically ive had the most trouble with in this game is getting the timing down of the mine cart jumps off an enemy to get the extra bounce/height...i'm so inconsistent with them

also i finally just noticed the physical version of this has a reversible funky cover 8-)

lol, so the first labyrinth i did was the one in the extreme northwest, as i’ve mentioned, that i think i was very under strength for. the whole time i was doing it i was very impressed at how uncompromising it was—very very few visual markers, a real labyrinth full of sheer walls

just made it to the one near robby’s and i realize...if you have the tower for the area discovered, you can see the entire labyrinth. it isn’t really a maze at all. i didn’t realize it because i hadn’t gotten the tower for the other one because i didn’t have the cold weather stuff. oops

I just climbed on top of labirynths and ran around, periodically looking down to see if something was different.

I think they have like underground passages and doors in walls that you can't see from the map screen

and yeah I just climbed to the top and then looked down for the right exit

Integration with GO makes so much sense, GO as an extension of your core Switch title experience.

Just started playing last night. Come out of the cave and I'm like "time to climb this mountain".

"Link....Link. You must go to the marker on your iPad".

"Shut up I'm just going to climb oh man it's freezing here ONE HEART LEFT?"

- goes to marker -

You can still explore the freezing mountain with the help of plants you find nearby, if you really want to.

But yes, there's a small area at the start of the game where you gain some important tools if you do what you're recommended to do. After that there are no markers.

I'm the opposite of you dudes, I guess, I'm never buying a game on another console again if it's available on the Switch

(to be fair, I regret buying the 2K port which they seemed to never want to update the rosters for the final 3 months of the season)

i guess the carts are expensive which is how they justify some of these games having dumb prices but i do wish more games would do like with rocket league where they charge less for the digital version

also i'm really stoked mario tennis
