hey a long time ago somebody mentioned a hotel rooftop pool they like to use that's technically guests only but they had some way around it that was really to do

tried to search and couldn't find anything

does anybody have any fucking clue what i'm talking about because right now i feel like i invented this memory

short of that if anyone could recc a rooftop pool they like..... i'd love to not end up with the tourist bros at the standard...

i've been to a couple chill parties at the ace. night of the week and who's spinning probably determines the crowd.

is roosevelt easily accessible?

best rooftop pool i know is the andaz west hollywood but only hotel guests can use it. there is mamas shelter which is a shit show. yesterday i used open table for lunch at highlite room on the rooftop, and then just hung by the pool after. it was a descent scene and a nice pool and rooftop, restaurant has great views, descent brunch-house music but the lit level is a 6/10 and definitely not dtla hepatitis hip, but there is a good crowd and its easy to get in.

skybar is okay but can get packed and VERY douchey. peninsula beverly hills has a decent rooftop pool but also very douchey.

then theres the standard dtla
i bought all the sodas at the gas station

planning a very special weekend with my partner about a month after we move to LA... what are the best (romantic) weekend trips/places to stay within like ~3 hours of LA?

lots of places seem booked up already, but i've looked a bit in ojai and temecula...

get a mid-century modern airbnb out in Joshua Tree with an outdoor hot tub

explore the park, then go eat a steak and see a show at Pappy n' Harriet's and then soak in the tub with a bottle of champagne and watch the stars
