this is one of those dumb/overthinking it questions but what would be the best and most affordable solution for triggering ambient samples, mostly between songs just to avoid deathly silence. most of the cheap samplers i've been looking at have had guys like showing off the beats you can program but i literally just want to be able to raise up the volume of like a pre-loaded Deerhunter-sounding ambient segue track and maybe play over it a little and then fade it out again before i play my next dumb guitar song. basically looking for a button i can push to make sound. any good ideas? should i just buy an SP-303 or something? I have OP-1 and could definitely do it with that but the workflow might be a little odd, plus i assume i'd be using the op-1 for other stuff.

I think I watched a "rig vid" with the guy from deafheaven and he just loads a digitech jamman with samples/loops whatever and just presses play on it inbetween songs.

i have a boss rc 20 i'll sell you for real cheap. it's not exactly what it's for, but it should do the trick.

i got it for playing puppet shows. i'd dump backing tracks onto it using the line in so we had something to sing and play along to before we assembled a proper band. it's just collecting dust now.

yeah that's basically the jamman but i think the jamman has some kind of memory card slot so you can just load shit directly onto it

every looper pedal i've tried is so clumsy. like that boss' pedals have so much play its dumb that you have to stomp it down twice to start and stop your loop. these things need a nice silent short throw switch you hold down to start and lift your foot up when you want to close the loop

i love my ditto looper but it wouldn't necessarily be good for what g&g is looking for

idk what your definition of cheap is tho, antoine

i mean like under 100 bux. but i don't really just want the bare bones little ones that go for that price. i'd rather have one of the twin pedal ones like the rc20 or rc30 or jamman etc. i've looked at the ditto loopers. i think i tried the mid-range 170 dollar or whatever one at guitar center and i didn't love it for some reason. was having trouble getting the timing right with the knob button. i prefer the boss flat pedal style than the clicky knob for looping.

anybody familiar with using a b-bender? I just installed a hipshot b/g-bender on my g&l asat. looking for some tips if you got 'em. mostly noodling on "you ain't goin nowhere" and some open tuning stuff. pretty fun!

it's this kind:

it's been interesting so far but now I'm just thinking I should go for a shoulder strap actuated model. so far the hip action is hard to do subtle bends on.

Anyone have or try out those Vox Amplug headphone amps before? I want to be able to play music in my home without annoying family. How’s the tone on them?

I have one. It’s okay I guess considering how cheap it is. It’ll do the trick for clean playing if you just wanna practice at home. You can’t hook up pedals to it or anything.

That's what the white one up there is and it's straight up the best feeling guitar I've ever played. The necks have a lot of hype surrounding them but it's totally earned. Is it a newer one with the proper gold guard or one of the older ones with the darker pick guard? I really wanna get another one and just keep it stock just because of how good they look. great great great guitars

Yeah it really is wild how comfortable the mascis feels compared to any other guitar. It absolutely lives up to the reputation.
