if you haven't tried combat tree to giant chop attack + passive damage on fast attacks, plus Bigtime Toxicity stuff from alch, i recommend it very much

HZD is a very chill experience thus far and almost scratches my lingering witcher-itch

but then you get to a place like Meridian, and while it's as visually impressive as a place like Novigrad, it's just so much more hollow

I finished the main quests & Blood & Wine and like an idiot tried to play Fallout 4 immediately afterwards and welp. Fallout 4 is terrible.

like outside of new witcher gear, glyphs and runes every five or ten levels there's what? mandrake cordial? haircuts?

it really seems like bethesda doubled down on all the worst aspects of fallout 3 and skyrim when they made this thing. like they've pursued this decade long project to make open world games as shallow and lifeless and consequence-free as possible.

still, fallout 4 was getting a lot of pats on the back for merely bringing its shooting up to par with every other shooter of the last 15 years.

Yeah i did not enjoy fallout 4

It felt very empty, and not a fun postapocalyptic way

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Getting all the Grandmaster stuff is expensive so you'll blow through it pretty quickly.

Mind you, there is a house you can get and decorate also.

yeah! swimming is what made me make that post. that said, the brief Skellige quest where Yennifer forces you to dive for treasure chests a bunch of times pretty well fleshes out the extent to which Geralt is willing to do bullshit for Yennifer

oh, I'm finally reading the Ciri novels. unlike the short stories, the first book is actually great! the revelation that (spoiler about elves)all the major cities are abandoned Elven cities that humans just took over blew my mind.Toggle Spoiler

too bad dijkstra gets all mustache twirly after I killed radovid, that was a really lame way to have to end his storyline.

like I'd give up roche for your crooked ass, c'mon dude.

main story quests give a ton of xp as long as you're not +4 levels higher. best to finish quests near your current level or you'll get shit xp

i was able to get all the mastercrafted gear after finishing up skellige (except wolven which is bugged for me..infurating)

i did pretty much everything except gwent quests and all the sunken treasure bullshit in skellige

about to finish up the last quest on hearts of stone and then onto blood and wine

this game still slays
