Big investor dropped out. https://www.austinchronicle.com/daily/music/2017-10-06/sound-on-sound-fest-canceled/

It's a bummer, I was looking forward to EW too. I'm dreaming of show with them and Sleep

apparently at least partially a combination of investor jitters and increased security cost and difficulty given the venue for sos in the wake of vegas. pretty big bummer, it was fun last year

They must be closed, yeah

I just made a last-minute run to Wal-Mart to grab toilet paper and toothpaste

Sounds like work is closed for me tomorrow as well, but no official word. Guess I'll be waking up early to see how bad it really was.

Oh man, it looks like it's getting substantively worse outside

Real glad I didn't actually drive to work this morning when I was attempting to--my parking brake wouldn't release

My boss wasn't even making me come in, I just figured I'd go for a half day

sorry to be *that guy* but i think i'm coming down to SXSW (music) for a few days and may need a couch for a night, maybe two

if there happen to be any hpn folks sticking around who would be able to help me out, it would be extraordinary. i will buy you 10 burritos.

i don't drink so i won't be giving you any late-night noisy rock 'n roll nonsense
