Can you share your recipe please? I have no good recipes/am bad at cooking and want to have one recipe to impress people with.

Also, are those tal ronnen books good/are the recipes easy? The ravioli on the cover looks really delicious.

don't worry, making this mistake with this exact product is something of a vegan rite of passage

Yeah, I guess I should be checking the ingredients considering casein was the second one, but it was in the dairy free section of a store that had a great selection of dairy free ice cream and other items. This was the only shredded cheese they had so I just assumed it was fine
Seven Swans is still pretty fantastic though and I'm an atheist. sad.gif

moby put together this animal rights/vegan festival over the weekend and had various assumed to be vegan artists perform, reggie watts was one of them and he posted a meal he was eating on IG that had chicken and eggs around the same time and that pissed off a lot of vegans

They do have a vegan version. It should be labeled on top of the bag.
It works great on making pizzas.

I only tried the cheddar one, doubt I could tell them apart if both were hot and in a tortilla.

again, not a fan of the type of ingredients/fillers in these products. I was excited because I found a brand at whole foods that was primarily nuts and like 4 other ingredients but that also tasted kinda like daiya. A lot of pizza places now carry daiya so that's probably the only way I'll consume it

trying to think of something good to get my sister if anyone has any suggestions.

i've gotten her quite a collection of gardening / herbal books and lots of recipe guides, unless you all know of something particularly special?

or perhaps any kitchen tools / appliances that come really in handy for vegan cooking?

instant pots have been going for under $70 at some retailers, even the 6 and 8 quart models

out of curiosity, i finally tried the impossible burger. they've been aggressively promoting it this year, they got it in more establishments like Umami, The Counter, and Fatburger. It's been selling for like $10-15 at some places but Fatburger had it for $8 so I tried it there. Even saw a billboard for it today. It was okay, nothing special. Don't like that it's gmo. It also didn't fake bleed, not sure if they removed that element or Fatburger just overcooked it or something. the worker told me that meat eaters seem to like it, so that's good.

I thought the impossible burger was good, but maybe a bit too savory.

this is weird bc removing lactose isn't really the same as 'dairy free'
well that was intense

Yeah, Pizza Pizza did the same thing up here earlier in the year. Along with McDonald's experimenting with vegan options, I guess it's not a fringe option anymore.

If Pizza Hut's anything like Pizza Pizza, it'll be some awful Daiya thing, and vegans will all fight about it because we're still giving our money to companies that kill animals by the millions, but it's cool because we've got a v option now.

violife is the biggest vegan cheese brand in the uk. pretty sure that i read that the 'bacon' they're using is just bacon flavoured cereal or something

whats really cool is that a small suburban pizza / takeaway place near me has started doing vegan pizza
