no nono nono no!
vegan cheese sauce should be made of:
-LOTS of raw cashews (soak em for a while first so they're extra silky)
-almond milk
-nutritional yeast, duh
-a lil bit of garlic (raw)
-salt
-lemon juice
-some tofu (firm) to get it thickened up
-1/2 of a can of coconut milk, but you put it in the fridge first so you can scoop out that creamy fatty delight and slow-blend it in at the end

people use mustard for the acidity, but mine has lemon juice
i mean put fuckin mustard in it if you want, just not miso or 1/2 cup of flour

Until they make the fries vegan, I'm out. Except I probably would end up getting roped into it when I was with other people and would be very happy for mcvegan if it ever came to America.

More and more places will soon adapt but only because it's cost effective and they can market it as healthy. But it'll likely just be some gmo shit like the impossible burger

So easy and cheap to do a lentil or black bean patty but they won't do that

I don't think there's necessrily anything wrong with GMOs per se. I don't like monsanto's predatory business practices but I'm fine with eating GMOs. I also have a taste for junk food so I'd eat a mcvegan for sure. I also kind of resent the conflation of veganism and healthy eating.

i went to the store on tuesday and the fake meat cooler (which has always been a fucking wasteland) was stocked to the brim and had a lot of stuff i'd even never seen before. i was just there to pick up some veggies for dinner sides, and ended up spending 68 bucks, mostly on vegan junk food.

you could tell that they made an effort to placate the new years resolutions, so i figured i should do my part to reward them for it. also, if it all sat on the shelf until it expired, then it would give them all the more reason to go back to never stocking it.

dominos australia released a vegan range and an option to switch for vegan cheese. my local vegan groups are a fuckin mess over over eating processed goods or supporting big business :|

i tried to order one but wtf dominos is fucked for figuring out the actual price. i was going to walk and pick it up so the pick up price was eight dollars down to five with the voucher but it was real hot outside so i went to delivery and it jumped to 24 dollars or 17 with a voucher. too confusing with large price differences for me to deal with so im back to litres of soup in the freezer mum made me over christmas.
