The anti-"Peanuts" talk on this week's episode may be the worst Chapo take yet.

It seems Josh Androsky has bigger problems than cosby gags with the Chapo boys

Was this the thread where a boarder revealed gross behavior by Chapo fans at a Chicago DSA meeting. What a fucking waste.

this has come up a few times in this thread and here's my working list:
Radio Dispatch w/ The Knefels (daily rundowns and discussion, solid)
Who Makes Cents?: A History of Capitalism (excellent broader historical perspectives)
The Dig (usually good, although it's had a chapo fella shitting it up the last 2 eps)
Arsenal for Democracy (very good)
This Is Hell (uneven long radio show out of Chicago I think, they release separate segments in podcast form which is nice)
Congressional Dish (not sure how lefty this is)
Economic Update (this is good for straightforward analysis)
The Nostalgia Trap (really solid w/ historical slant)
The Working Life Podcast (mostly analysis kinda stuff, not great but good for background)

two more that were recommended in here that I haven't listened to yet:
Humorless Queers
Revolutionary Left Radio

agree with gs re economic update and the dig. i can't get into congressional dish.

citations needed is solid
intercepted is mostly very good despite all the garbage on that site (with a major caveat for the episode where gg guest-hosted and fawned over tucker carlson)
i've heard good things about season of the bitch

The Nostalgia Trap is really great, it comes out sporadically sometimes but that guy is a great interviewer

Katie Halper's show is good too, although she definitely can re-litigate 2016 too much at times

he's normally not which is what was most disappointing

i wish they always did a reading series, a lot of it is low hanging fruit but it's generally pretty funny

I forgot to mention that both Bernie and Keith Ellison's podcasts are solid too, if not truly revolutionary

I've enjoyed all of the Nostalgia Trap I've heard, although perhaps ironically for this discussion they were almost exclusively episodes where he interviewed someone from Chapo lol

i have trouble with katie halper for this reason. when she's good, she's great but she's still way too focused on 2016. also, i agree with g_s that congressional dish isn't explicitly leftist but i still think it's the best in depth explainer on policy coming out of DC that i've found. i can see why some might find the editing style a little too "quirky NPR podcast" but unlike quirky NPR podcasts she has the substance to make up for it.

unauthorized disclosure has pretty bad sound quality and I'm sure certain aspects of rania khalek's politics are alienating to people on this board but it's one of the better leftist podcasts in my opinion

almost every podcast I looked up suggested here seems to have had matt christman as a guest in the last three episodes

not that its a dealbreaker just didn't realize he was "doing the rounds" like he was a comedian promoting a netflix special.
