right into this...

OK so if you're the seer:

I suggest you scan people who are not "high profile" players that are likely to just die and then your scan is wasted.

I would aim at people that are the hardest to read or play at low volume but top of my list is Ampersand, followed by probably Casimir and efreet.

once you've scanned someone good I think you can reveal to them they were scanned but I would probably not publicly air scans early on except for whoever ends up mouthpiecing a scab scan, as it just gives the bad dudes a Confirmed Good target to take out.

if I die immediately let it be known that I think you should not kill anyone as long as the seer is alive. it is a bad strategy.

1. mislynching in the dark is basically just giving the scabs an extra kill
2. and it lowers the pool of people that could be the seer, which should remain as large as possible
3. and of course you could accidentally put the seer up for lynch

if the seer stays alive long enough to scan one or two scabs and you don't mislynch you'll win easily

I wouldn't worry about the slokra that much. if they get scanned while the seer is alive, you should kill them, because you get an extra scan basically out of the deal. after the seer is dead, killing the slokra doesn't help much because it's just a null day (though it lowers the wolf target pool by one). in the endgame they'll probably favor the scabs if the game is close, but just don't let the game get close.

if I was the slokra I would be acting shady as hell to try to get the scabs to leave me alone, instead of giving village the optimal win strat immediately (which I had already formulated, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't a scab before posting it all :P )

CM looked at his watch after munching his last chili dog. He had been stopping at ted's hot dog shop ever since he started working at the piss bottling factory eight years ago. It was about time to head home by normal standards.

He stumbles to the bar next door, no need to get to the factory at the crack of dawn anyway.

I assure you I am not the slokra

however I will also say in terms of mechanics in case it comes up: scanning someone because you think they might be the slokra (which I am not, I am a proletariat werewolf) would be an absolute waste (you scan them, you get them lynched, you get an extra scan but it only makes up for the scan you used in the first place, and you only succeeded in reducing the scab target pool by one)

A gray-haired, bearded man, in his late sixties by the look of it, strides with surprising vigor up to the podium and grabs the bullhorn.

I’ve worked here 40 years, Cambys have always worked at the Pisse Factory. Built this place to the ground. And I’ll be damned if some do-nothing is going to take away my share. Are you with me?!

The crowd cheers, but because there are only 15 people, the cheer’s not very encouraging. Camby reflexively begins to worry at one of the small holes near the neck of his worn gray sweatshirt, then seems to gather his resolve.

We’re in this for the long haul! Now tell me, ARE YOU WITH ME?

Camry puts his fist in the air, the fingers yellowed as only a veteran Pisse bottler’s could be. He pumps it up in down as the crowd cheers, “Camby! Camby!"

He dismounts the podium, and looks off into the distance, at distant smokestacks. A smile creeps over Camby’s features as he whispers to himself.

That's right, mmhm. My family’s been here a long, long time.

Then his lids hood and his jaw goes slack. You can see his age now, wrinkles deep enough to hide stories, and eyes that have seen a lot of pisse in their time.
