Terrible Werewolf (ALL PLAYERS WIN VS. THE MOD)

There are worse ways to spend the time, but not many.

So I actually cast a phantom vote for Uni on Day 1 despite appearing not to vote at all and voted for Metersk the next to last day when it looked like I was voting for Ankh.

Trying to avoid giving that away and avoid accidentally voting for myself, a dead player, or anyone whose post I quoted, was fun.

LOD, you could've had similar fun with yours and I'm sad you didn't get to pull off a trick shot with it. YOu shoulda been a wolf with that one :)

So many people played so well in this game, in addition to coming up with creative ways around their curses and even turning some of them into advantages.

Obviously I had fun being thrown into the briar patch I feel like I was born in, werewolf wise, and I'm glad so many other people got into it. Some of Surly's workarounds to the emoji thing were wonderful. Trying to be his interpreter was fun! Would've liked to have done it genuinely instead of as a cynical wolf, but, eh, whadya gonna do.

Lame Sayings revealing that he was faking (too) put a big smile on my face.

Wendybreadbridge as a mason with access to log posting and anon emails is the stuff of my nightmares. :)

Pierrot being allowed to say Mason (but no other role name) and seemingly collecting a bounty if he tricked someone into saying it is one of my long time werewolf role dream ideas becoming real and I enjoyed every minute of it. Well except the bit where you were on to me as a wolf, which is always nerve wracking when you actually are one. Though rhyming back at me was a nice twist.

I should post the log from the other night where TUE (who was also on to me, and thus got him the distinction of being the final night kill) started interrogating me also exclusively in rhyme. So much fun.

Me too.

It was really good Public Leading Voice of the Village stuff.

You ALMOST got night killed for this, too, just because it was so leader-y.

Yep, that was how my curse worked.

By naming metersk first, i actually voted for him, regardless of appearances.

Even though it looked like i voted for ankh because i put his name in red. That didn't count. Because I also could not retract.

I was definitely trying to save that surprise for a trick shot (invisibly cause or break a tie to save a wolf or doom a villager, ideally on the final day where it'd be too late for anyone to do anything about me doing something so blatantly wolfy).

I also cast a phantom vote for Uni on day 1 when i translated Surly's vote. Even though I appeared not to cast a vote at all.

Also, had this post occurred in the game, I would've voted for you, because i quoted your post, thanks to that "fuckles wrote" preamble, for example.

All other days I avoided naming any player (including dead ones) until I was ready to vote, and I usually started my first post of the day with a name in red (so my true vote would look like a normal vote and be for the same person). Once someone was named and I made sure it was the person I actually wanted to vote for I could call all of you by name or quote you all I wanted.

The rhyming bullshit was always meant to be obvious so nobody would look for my real curse. (Also the more I did it the more fun and even easier/more habitual it became).

When Luke first posted the premise, I had a theory we'd win some sort of immunity or extra kill for our team if we correctly guessed someone else's curse, or get eliminated ourselves if we guessed wrong (which is why we were told before the start we each would have to keep ours a secret).

The rhymes were going to be a trap for anyone thinking I was an easy guess.

What was the story here? Would love a peek behind the scenes.

There was a minor fuckup, and I didn't want to kill him off right then, but I also didn't want to let it slide. His curse was originally "don't say minion in any context", and the aura expanding was making that "minion, wolf, villager, seer".

Ah.

tue
2:37 PM hey
2:37 i need your suspects, send me a list
2:38 is there anyone we might have missed?

verucabalanced
4:53 PM Dragons named to me 5, of them only Geoff's left alive
but not suspecting Ankh seems dumb, he sticks out now like a sore thumb
4:54 not to lose focus but i say
in light of that why'd fuckles still vote for metersk
4:54 ?
4:55 this game is a stressor
we could apply pressure
make the other pup
feel like giving up
4:56 that could be fun
but best to focus on nailing one

tue
5:01 PM do you suspect fuckles or is he good? i think i trust him, knock on wood
verucabalanced
5:02 PM his point by point takedown of metersk yesterday
looked quite villagery, I have to say
tue
5:02 PM i go back and forth about metersk, at times he seems helpful, at others cray cray
verucabalanced
5:03 PM he could be a wolfen liar, or just left alive to draw fire
tue
5:04 PM what about geoff? he's always so nice. but has he offered any sound advice? (edited)
verucabalanced
5:04 PM dragons named five that were sus
geoff's the only one still with us
tue
5:05 PM it's hard to read the science lad. he could be good, he could be bad.
verucabalanced
5:06 PM if he has to do what people say, how would he vote on the last day?
tue
5:07 PM would he be eased of his restriction? i imagine it could cause some friction.
verucabalanced
5:08 PM might be a bomb me must diffuse, a weight we could afford to lose
5:08 although if the wolves are a dope
5:08 we could try offering false hope
5:08 tease a tie
illusion of stopping ankh to die
5:09 or go all in and make sure ankh's fried
5:09 though the last will easily hide
tue
5:10 PM any other thoughts on the wolfen? let's force these beasties into the open.
verucabalanced
5:10 PM no need to knock on wood
it seems grammatron scanned good
tue
5:11 PM yes, i love grammatron with all my heart, he gave me a ride on his golf cart
verucabalanced
5:12 PM but i can't scan,
mathmatically any of us could be the last man.
i have in the past much mistrusted dragons
and this has oft undone me
don't want to repeat old mistakes
at least make a new one, see?
Geoff avoids suspicion
it is a game tradition
i guess it's just a sentimental whim
but i'd try to ride on him
5:13 metersk almost seems too fishy
at risk of my sounding washy-wishy

5:15 not my restriction and not a hater
have to fill a prescription, be back later

EDITOR'S NOTE: This was actually true and not a wolfish excuse (although I was in fact a wolf and TUE was well on to me). I really did leave to pick up a [though not my] prescription at this point.

TUE might have actually been able to eliminate me with a log of that couplet, though. :)

tue
5:15 PM ok, hope you feel better soon, don't go howling at the moon
verucabalanced
6:12 PM I'm back
I'm in on the attack
tue
7:11 PM i've been out playing pokemon go, still there's something i'd like to know (edited)
7:11 ankh's post about surly strikes me as odd, was it a ploy or an act of god?
7:12 in the game of werewolf, there are ties that bind. could you have been the mastermind?
7:12 i really wish our seer true, could have caught a pikachu

This was tons of fun, thanks TUE.

got to work on planning your WW-fam surprise birthday

[The poem log she shared during the game was actually about HALF of the rhyme content she ended up getting from me that night/day. Thank you, as always, DRAGONS, for enduring me.]

one remaining question:

if mudd's restriction was `mudd - has to react/respond to everything` and a bunch of us originally thought it was something along the lines of `has to be nice and helpful` does that mean mudd is the nicest dude in the world?
