Werewolf XXV (VILLAGE WINS, TANNER WINS, MUDD MVP)

Because 24 is toast.

This is me putting feelers out for interest in another Werewolf game for this week. We'd start in the next day or so. If run, this game will be very simple, with minimal special roles and a mechanic that speeds up gameplay slightly. This game is also designed to prevent cabals from forming up (and thus destroying everyone's fun).

This game will include:
-a werewolf (one to start, more to possibly come)
-a limited seer (4 or 5 [tbd] scans over the course of the game)
-a witch (each night protects one player from being killed by or becoming a wolf)
-an elected hunter with three bullets in their gun
-maybe a tanner

My goal is to have this game somewhat mimic an IRL game of Werewolf. Therefore, we'll need a smaller pool of players (15ish would be ideal). The major new mechanic will be the 3rd nights: every 3rd night, the werewolf (or werewolves) can elect to either a) make a new werewolf, or b) kill 2 players.

Roles:

Werewolf - Your mission is to kill Villagers and village-aligned players in the night to achieve parity with their surviving number. Every night phase, you will submit the name of the player you wish to kill to the moderator. Though a lone Werewolf at the game's start, every three nights, during a Blood Moon, you will be given the opportunity to either 1) create another Werewolf [from the pool of surviving players], who you will then be able to communicate and work with, or 2) kill two villagers instead of only one.

[Blood Moon errata: Limited Seer and Witch can be turned into Werewolves. In that case, their abilities will transfer to another surviving villager. (Though the Seer's scan total will not be reset). However, if either of these two roles are killed, their powers disappear. The Hunter also can be turned by the wolves, but in that event their gun will mysteriously arrive back in the center of town. So it would be a bad idea.]

Villager - The rank and file. Your mission is to investigate your fellow townsfolk during the game's day phases and then vote to lynch whomsoever the plurality decides is a Werewolf. Villagers win if the Werewolves are eliminated.

Limited Seer - As the village's secret mystic, you have special Werewolf-divining powers. At any four times during one of the game's night phases, you can submit the name of a suspicious player to the moderator. You will then be told whether or not this player is a Werewolf. After the Seer's four scans have been used, the Seer will turn into a regular Villager.

Witch - Every night phase, the Witch must cast a protection spell by submitting the name of a player to the moderator. This spell protects the chosen player from being attacked by the Werewolves for the remainder of the night. If cast on a Blood Moon, the Witch's spell will also protect a player from being turned into a Werewolf. The Witch can choose to protect themself, but cannot protect the same player on any two consecutive nights. The Witch's protection can also save the target of the Hunter's bullets, whether that target be village or wolf.

Tanner - The Tanner is a Bernie Sanders stuck in this God-fearing town. Thus, the Tanner wishes to die by the town's hand and become a martyr/end their suffering/make some sort of point. The Tanner's win condition is to be lynched by the village during a day phase. The Tanner loses if they are night-killed by the Werewolves or if they survive to the conclusion of the game. The Tanner counts towards the village's number of living players.

Elected Hunter - During the day phase after the first Blood Moon, the frightened village will be forced to publicly elect [by a simple majority] a Hunter, who will be given a gun with three bullets. The Hunter is allowed (though not required) to fire this gun during any night phase at a suspected Werewolf. If the Hunter chooses to fire the gun and mistakenly kills a village-aligned character, the Hunter will be stripped of their title and gun, and the village will vote for a new holder (the former Hunter will not be eligible to run again until the following day phase). A Werewolf can be elected Hunter, though cannot fire the gun [their clumsy paws can't work the trigger]. After the three bullets are used, the gun is tossed away. Once elected, a Hunter cannot have their title or gun stripped from them, except through their own misfire or death-by-Werewolf. [To note: If fired, a bullet hits its target before the night's Werewolf attack.]

-No screenshots.

-No copy/pasted Slack or PM transcripts.
-No personal attacks outside of the confines of the gameplay. Don’t be an asshole.
-Try to post AT LEAST twice per day phase: once to vote, and once to speculate, accuse, RP, or what you will.
