Werewolf 27: BREXIT (Boris Johnson wins)

There are worse ways to spend the time, but not many.

Postby bigcat » Wed Aug 24, 2016 9:16 pm

The year is 2010. Having just barely scrabbled to PMship by forming the first coalition government in decades, David Cameron is desperate to cling to power. But as the economy continues to plummet, his base grows restive, demanding their long-held dream: a referendum on leaving the European Union. Though reluctant to pull the trigger, Cameron will stop at nothing to stay in Number 10.

Might Labour beat back the calls for a referendum? Can Nick Clegg make any difference at all? Or will the Tories achieve
BREXIT!

LABOUR

Tony Blair (Seer): Scans one player per night and receives Labour/Conservative. Once per game, Tony Blair may choose to host a HUMAN RIGHTS SUMMIT. This will block David Miliband, Rupert Murdoch, and David Cameron's abilities for a full day/night cycle and block them from communicating with any game participant during the night, as they will be at a HUMAN RIGHTS SUMMIT party.

Gordon Brown (Apprentice Seer). If Tony Blair dies, Gordon becomes Tony Blair. He may not, however, host a HUMAN RIGHTS SUMMIT.

Jeremy Corbyn (Bodyguard). May protect one player per night from being killed. May not protect any player but themself two nights in a row.

David Miliband (Sibling). Can be silenced by HUMAN RIGHTS SUMMIT. If Tony Blair dies without hosting a HUMAN RIGHTS SUMMIT, David may convene the TONY BLAIR MEMORIAL HUMAN RIGHTS SUMMIT (which works the same as a HUMAN RIGHTS SUMMIT).

Ed Miliband (Sibling). David’s brother. Not much to see here.

Labour Backbenchers (Villagers).

CONSERVATIVES
During any night, the Tories may request a Brexit Referendum after the following day’s lynch. If Brexit wins the popular vote, the game is over and the Tories win.
David Cameron (Old Wolf). If David Cameron is lynched, the wolves get two night kills. Cam has a 50/50 chance of dying if Nick Clegg holds a successful AV REFERENDUM.

Boris Johnson (Lone Wolf). Boris doesn’t care what anybody thinks. Their win condition is to be the last living Conservative.

Rupert Murdoch (Worst Dude). At night, Rupert may pick one player other than themself to protect from the next day’s lynch. Will be silenced by a HUMAN RIGHTS SUMMIT.

The Ghost of Margaret Thatcher (Minion). Shares Conservative win condition but may not contact the Conservatives directly. Conservatives will not know the Ghost’s identity.

Tory Backbenchers (Wolves).

NEUTRAL
Nick Clegg (the Diseased). Is the Diseased. Can also hold an AV REFERENDUM one night per game. A referendum will be announced at daybreak on Clegg’s chosen day. During an AV REFERENDUM, if more than 70% of currently living players to vote Yes, Nick Clegg will achieve their win condition as long as they survive to the end of the game, and gain a random power. If bitten, will count toward the Conservatives’ player count, but Clegg's win condition remains the same. Scans Conservative.

Nigel Farage (the Tanner). Achieves their win condition if lynched. Scans Conservative.

OBJECT
The Unwritten Constitution. Nobody’s quite sure what this is, so it’s best to avoid talking about.

Brexit night has begun, because early is the only way to be on time.

The night will end at 7pm EST tomorrow. As you were.

i am a comedian. an actor. taking my cues from the americans, i have created a personae for myself and have attempted, for all outward appearances, to live it. my personae is a bald-faced, ridiculous parody of my political opposites - the stooges and thugs of the right wing that seek to pull our country from its allies into isolation and xenophobia.

but alas, something has gone wrong. i'm wildly, unreasonably successful. but i don't think my audience has understood. in fact, they don't seem to be aware that i'm an actor at all. the surge of my popularity has completely overwhelmed me, and now i find myself wealthy and powerful beyond my expectation or even understanding. the cost, though, the cost - if i show them my truth, if i drop the disguise, i'll lose everything. and worse still, i'm quite certain they will devour me.

and so, i clown on. i perform every cliche, with the gravitas and poise of a monkey in a bell hop suit. i become my parody and let no-one see inside my mind, because i'm not crying behind the smile. i'm terrified.

I'm a bloody laborer. Not even a Labourer. Just an average tosser who sweeps the floor of Parliament, wipes down the public commodes, and then shuffles off home to drink a cup of tea while me wife cucks me.

Put a bullet in me brain.
