I've got a Moog Little Phatty. I also have a Source that doesn't work, but I'll hopefully get that fixed one of these days.

I've been eyeballing that one for a while now.

Hell yeah. I'm psyched. I've never owned a synth, but I always have a ton of ideas for it, so it was a needed investment. This Rhodes will be awesome too once I repair it. While living with your dad has many downsides, one of those is not a lack of expendable income.

:D these are such great fun. you're gonna love it!
do you have any amp at all at the moment? i don't really like the sound of synths through amps, i much prefer it clean through monitors or a PA

hey guys lets take photos of our favourite homemade 106 presets and post them and we can all make them? :geek:

^ The spelling on that one looks weird.

60 vs. 106. The 60 has a reputation for sounding better because its filter are analog controlled, but I've A/B'd them and the difference is very slight. The 106 has oscillators that will eventually crap out, and you'll have to replace the chips (not cheap) and solder. The 106 has MIDI control.

All in all, I'd go with a 60 if I was going on tour
And a rackmount Roland if it was for studio
And a 106 if I wasn't sure

i was going to buy one of these a few years ago, but got a ms2000 instead.
i currently own an alpha juno 2 (hooked up to a behringer bcr for controls) , and a micron.
a guy that lives down the street has this set up:

Without a doubt. But I too would choose a Juno, given the choice.

pwn that micron.
also – it's not that hard to replace the voice chip if you get one with a broken one for much cheaper
go here to buy a replcement: www.analoguerenaissance.com and there's some YouTubes about replacing them
they're €40
