i only knew of jian through Q interviews on youtube, could not fucking believe my eyes and ears when i found out he had a band and they were that unbelievably shitty

I should clarify, by "black dude" I guess I meant "black dude who mostly doesn't listen to white music." I feel like Hot Topic black dudes are not a great barometer for measuring whiteness.

Anyway, it got me to thinking how I saw Guided By Voices a dozen-plus times but never once saw anyone of color at one of their shows, but I know Pop Zeus if (obviously) a pretty big fan, so.
