Luck (2011) - HBO, Mann, Milch, Hoffman, Nolte

Jesus christ you have to be kidding me.

I think we had an older thread but search is fucked up.

Apparently Milch and Mann are already ready to kill each other. Hopefully it results in some crazy fucking television.

obv gonna watch but honestly the enthusiasm for me isn't as high for this one as the names involved would suggest

although I was like cartman waiting for the wii when I was waiting for boardwalk and was sort of let down overall so who knows

You mean you didn't find Tilt (featuring Michael Madsent as The Matador) to be an accurate representation of the poker world?

well I'm not really sure why they're still making episodes of Hung, but this will be good, Boardwalk Empire is good, Game of Thrones is good, Entourage is dead

the guy responsible for what made hbo great had to step down when he publicly abused his girlfriend/wife, the new person in charge worked on the simpsons and has been putting their focus on making hbo a popular comedy network which is why shit like hung or life and times of tim kept getting renewed

boardwalk empire comes off like the new head of hbo trying to re-create the success of the network from years ago without ever watching a single hbo program

also lol anyone remember treme?

Two of its Executive Producers (and almost certainly the two with the most creative input) worked on The Sopranos

I don't think you can really blame HBO for giving Boardwalk Empire shot. Aforementioned Sopranos connection, Scorcese directing the pilot etc. It could still get good too.

I will fully admit to being a bit of an HBO fanboy but they've always had shit running alongside the good stuff. Remember Arli$$?

dont diss life and times of tim.

how to make it and hung are both AWFUL. treme is better than bored to death.
I was wearing a Far Side t-shirt when he came over. "I bet you didn't think I was the sort of person who wore t-shirts," I told him. (Our school had a dress code.) "I have three."

I could see how e-mailing the wrong person about sexy bathtime could be embarrassing.
