Jesus christ you have to be kidding me.

working my way through todd glass

really funny but i have the same problem i have with best show

too long.

i know thats dumb but i with the eps were broken up so i could shuffle them with other podcasts.

minor but nagging issue.

todd glass show and best show (and sometimes nerdist/indoor kids/live WTFs if i'm feeling up to it) i save for long gaming sessions on weekends and lazy afternoon internet surfing.

i keep trying to listen to todd glass show before bet but it keeps me up laughing. best show puts me to sleep pretty easily, only takes one extended bad call and i'm out for the night.

todd glass also does this thing a lot where the show's over 2 hours long, but the actual produced show is like 75 minutes and then there's another hour of them hanging out doing other things while the mic still picks up a lot of the dialogue.

it used to annoy the hell out of me on comedy & everything else (finally gave that podcast up a few years ago, despite some great guests), but he does a better job with it on his own show.

norm was not very funny on this one but he was entertaining.

great news if you live nearby: sketchfest is packed with live podcast tapings this year. http://sfsketchfest.com/schedule/

trying to decide between wtf, nerdist, dlm, never not funny, superego with paul f tompkins or the paul f tompkins show.

Yeah, Norm wasn't that great but it felt like he was kind of getting caught beneath Todd's train of thought interruptions, still enjoyed the few stories he told.

the ending with his restaurant ad is insane

Finally listened to the Carrot Top episode of WTF. Basically an hour of Marc trying to find out how Carrot Top feels about being a punchline. CT seems like a good enough dude. I would've liked it to eventually get off that topic though since he pretty much made it clear that he's fine with where he is now and all that. Probably the most shallow episode I've heard, really. And that Charlie dude was too much.

i had a really uncomfortable reaction to the jillian lauren WTF.

sounds like she had an interesting life and some of the details and stories were cool but on the whole i found her fairly annoying to listen to, and i thought marc was both kinda creepy in his digging and insisting on salacious details, and also, his bad habit of cutting people off to project his ideas about them onto them before they can answer was particularly conspicuous on this one.

but i was genuinely moved by the end when she was talkign about her parents disowning her and she said "i'm awesome, i'm an awesome daughter, and an awesome mother...." etc

it felt really hard fought and made me wanna give her a hug.

bought the WTF app a while back but only recently started going back and listening to the old eps.

yesterday i listened to odenkirk. dude's pretty intense. smart and interesting interview though.

half way though the bamford one, which i think will end up being one of my favorites. i love her nerdist ep too. its somehow incredibly charming and also terrifying to me that as far as i can tell, shes not really doing a schtick and is in fact maybe borderline mentally ill. but also really smart and self aware.

i loved the intro section of the bamford one and how he leads into the interview. "might have to give bamford a ride home. hope i can record that" MUSIC [cut back to marc and bamford in the car in the parking lot of maxfuncon.]

I like that Bamford one, yeah. And Odenkirk is always a really good interview subject, I like their chat.
