holy fucking shit. Well all the times I've seen him he closes on a joke about watching this asian chick get fucked by his friend that's pretty hilarious. I'm going to listen to this episode today and try not to obviously laugh while I'm working.

I loved that Mark and Tom show so much, I could listen to them talk to each other forever. That hour of work flew by.

i really love and have always loved tom and when i am in the mood, i love best show but i would really love to hear him on something tighter and more focused.

i dont love the scharpling and wurster bits as much as the FoT cult does. i prefer it when hes just fucking with callers or riffing with smart guests.

not to read too much into this but it is interesting that the Marc and Tom show was 59m58s. like perfect pilot/demo length.

Just read about maybe THE worst podcast concept I've ever seen - Kevin Pollack is starting a podcast as Christopher Walken and staying in character the whole time.

I listened to it this morning, it's alright, Marc loves everything she has done and seems to blame all the hate for her because she was a stripper and not how she writes, I think she is more critical of herself than he is during it

as horrible as Harris Wittels is at characters, I love when he is on CBB, him and Aukerman work really well together

that Don't Stop CBB was alright but definitely felt like a throw away ep while Aukerman was filming the CBB IFC show

i know i know

when theyre good theyre good

i guess my issue is a lot of times they take a really really long time to set up or find a hook to riff on and just kinda lose patience and would rather be listening to something a little tighter.

i think thats why i love superego so goddamn much.

by all accounts they start off with very long lose CBB style improvs (only situational, rather than games, obv) but then they edit them down from like 10-15 minutes to like 3-5, and that show is just a gatlin gun of awesome.

i get that a big part of scharplings Best Show appeal is the pace, but in the context that i listen to it (bike), i wish it was tighter.

Fanatical bike evangelist who constantly backs himself into unwinnable arguments would be a pretty great Wurster character actually.

it's pretty rare, but my absolute favorite thing on the best show is when wurster calls in randomly to fuck w/ calllers

the time when he browbeat a 13-year old kid as jimmy crespo from aerosmith was absolutely priceless

Adam Pally has also been great both times he was on CBB (although he sucked on the end of year special). I would pretty much listen to anything Andy Daly did - August Lindt and Hot Dog are probably my favorite CBB-related things. Adomian just consistently annoys the hell out of me - don't like his characters at all.

Maybe the wrong thread for this, but can someone recommend a Dave Attell recording/special to check out? I hear him mentioned pretty frequently on various podcasts, but I've never actually seen his comedy.
