man, I saw this band play when "Chrome Rats Vs. Basement Rutz" came out a long time ago. Totally different sound

They couldn't keep their guitar in tune and an amp died halfway through the set, but somehow the entire thing was incredible. I don't know what they did right, or how they did it, but they won everyone in the room over. After their set I bought a t-shirt out of a big garbage bag from them. They'd just screen printed over a pile of thrift store clothing, most of it kid-sized and unwearable.

I still think about that show pretty often. Never listened to anything since "Plaster Hounds", I guess I'm missing out.

It really is one of the more striking about faces I've seen in a while.

That first record of theirs totally tickled my shouty post-punk bone when I first heard it in high school.

Reason behind the delay in coming out:

HEY EVERYBODY...SORRY FOR ALL THE CONFUSION ABOUT THE RELEASE DATE. JOHNNY MENTIONED IN AN INTERVIEW THAT WE WERE HOPING TO HAVE IT WRAPPED UP FOR VALENTINE'S DAY...AND THEY KIND OF RAN WITH IT. WE DON'T DO PRE ORDERS AT ITALIANS...BUT THE 16 TRACK RECORD IS IN THE CAN AND WE ARE TRYING TO SYNCHRONIZE THE CD, DIGITAL, AND VINYL FORMATS. THAT ALONG WITH A FEW BUMPS IN THE ROAD WITH MASTERING HAS BEEN CAUSING IT TO TAKE A LITTLE LONGER THAN WE THOUGHT... IT'S A GORGEOUS RECORD & WE WILL KEEP LEAKING TRACKS UNTIL IT'S OUT.
