i really just don't understand why he was banned in the first place. he didn't do anything to the board.

Don't know about tonguetied, but overall the problem with moderation on this board is that nathan didn't reign in badhat. The board started becoming progressively lifeless with him becoming more of a force moderating content and culture here. Ran away monikerjones and others. If i recall, tried to get more older posters banned. The culture here used to be more freewheeling, where undesirable behavior was dealt with through humour by wannabe hipster elitists or being ignored. Now it has devolved into "you're just not hipinion material" mode, which has been inculcated by some posters here acting like mommys little helper.
