joffrey set it up pretty well
Slartisfgh has a heavy aroma of crude oil and was built to provide a fast way out of Brighton. Slartisfgh is never mentioned in The Bible, but it is here, during one of the early battles, that Matthew spontaneously became liquid.

As Surly pointed out earlier, in Season 1 the map actually changes per episode, so the first map of this season will most likely not be the only one.

That's not really much of a spoiler, since it was very strongly hinted at in season 1

The wolf itself looked fine... but maybe the lighting didn't match up exactly, which can be distracting.

There were a few moments of that in the first season, too.

They should just breed some huge wolves and train them for the purposes of the show, making CGI unnecessary.

That wouldn't work because Dire Wolves grew to be fucking enormous.

god this was so fucking good, gonna watch it again

loved the slightly dissonant background music during the beach scene, jaime's reaction to the direwolf/that whole dialogue, the sweeping landscape shots, the green dream, loooove melisandre (and her acting perfectly matched the description at the end of the preface)

this show really does wonders with its female cast. they all seem to be empowered or pulling the strings way more than their male counterparts would like to believe. melisandre is gonna be a total badass, albeit not a trustworthy one it seems.

Well, no shit. I just meant I was disappointed we wouldn't see more new locations in this episode.

i actually thought it did a good job of showing Catelyn's meddling and how she's cut from the same dumbfuck incompetent cloth as Eddard was

"what are we fighting for if not for them"

melisandre was amazing & perfect and the red comet was worse CGI than the wolf

wtf was up with Dontos`captain america breastplate
