plus if it was anyone from the SEC vs baylor or iowa state (o hey those actually happened) you probably wouldnt have heard a peep, it seemed like it was just supposed to be another way to cheer against kansas

conference pride makes total sense in football if you have or might soon have a championship-caliber team. It's just practical to want everyone to see your conference as the best

So yes, never mind, it was the right call. I've seen players get away with that before, but I suppose it was mostly in pick up games. While it's not as blatant as this situation, refs could really call a lot more travels as players catch the ball on the run and start dribbling.
