Official Ongoing Football/Soccer 2011/2012

Jesus christ you have to be kidding me.

Would be even funnier if Joe Cole managed to get Champions League football while Liverpool end up in the Europa League.

i know la masia is ingrained in the barcelona team moreso than guardiola but if he does go (on sabbatical most likely), this does seem like end of an era stuff

Yeah, this is my favourite team to watch in I don't know how long.

Gonna be so depressing if this team gets broken up this summer/Bielsa leaves.

That was Ibai's first goal for the first team btw.

why would biesla leave? unless some huge club comes a calling [like everton] there would be no reason for him to move on

Don't know how reliable 'goal.com' are but they say Barcelona. That makes sense seeing as Guardiola said a while ago that Bielsa was the best coach in the world.

I'd like to think he wouldn't leave Athletic after one season.

Blanc and Valverde seem to be the others linked with Barca.

I hope all this is bullshit though and everyone stays where they are forever.

Valverde has wasted a lot of time in the corrupt as fuck greek league / oly and i think he'd suck at Barca

Blanc would be better at United or something, don't see him as a good fit for Barca

Bielsa is the only one who could go in and have immediate success (and build for the future)

so it makes sense, if Pep insists on leaving

It's hard to fathom the stress Pep must be under if he's making the decision to step down.

Postby bicycle made for two » Thu Apr 26, 2012 8:46 pm

Played while it was freezing last night, dominate but end up losing 2-1 for the vast majority of the game because we were restricted to just giving the ball to our best player to take long range pot shots and hope one sneaks in. 1:30 left on the clock, quick throw in, ball arcs in from the left, ball hooks in off the crossbar for 2-2. We score another one pretty much straight from the kickoff because the opposing team just loses all hope straight away and their keeper lets a weak shot squirm under his body and in.

Cue delirious joy, 0:20 left. They boot the ball up in a last attempt to save the match, get a throw, and they get a shot off. It hits the post, hits our keeper Andrew who has no idea what's going on, ricochets off the legs of one of the many defenders in the box, hits the post again and trickles past the line just as the ref blows the whistle. He rules no goal and all hell breaks loose. Great game :D

Yeah. This season has made me wonder whether they will take over from Roma as my #1. Can't leave Serie A behind though.

That was the best anyway.
