it's pretty hit or miss, more so now that Wells is no longer writing it, every issue has a different writer & artist so it hardly makes sense as an "ongoing". However, with the exception of the Hawkeye / Greg Land one (#4), which was terrible, it's been a fun read so far.

why would anyone want comics "journalism"? what are they expecting to find?

go read the new york times or watch 60 minutes for journalism

as for comics, bleeding cools turns up more things and johnston has been breaking stories no one else has for over a decade if you count all the rage and LITG

Comics critique specifically, not just journalism, is what is lacking here, Jason.

Of course I get news and shit from BC and their ilk. That doesn't mean I take their opinions seriously or find Johnston's writing readable.

Which ones are you missing? Not very cost-effective, but: G-Mart has a first printing of #1, if it matters; Mile High has 4-6 (half off with codeword MADNESS!); and mycomicshop.com has #7. No idea about the issues in between.

Thanks, I'd already checked those sites. I don't have any of the issues, but I read it recently and was hoping I could track down the whole thing somewhere. I'll see if I can piece together a run somehow.

I'm glad I jumped on it early. Issues 2 and 3 are the hardest to find for cheap.

Now, if only it'd ship regularly!

The Kree scenes in Secret Avengers this week were some Arzach-looking stuff. Renato Guedes is awesome.

Do you think they'll bring Wasp or Nightcrawler back first?

So who's doing the art on the Youngblood relaunch? Is it Liefeld, or a somehow worse Liefeld clone?

I don't understand why people are still paying money to read Uncanny X-Men.

Apart from the fact that the name of the book is "Uncanny X-Men."

I wasn't trying to be clever, I honestly can't tell who's drawing the book. It looks like Liefeld, but scratchier.

I think I've liked the stuff in SA's the best so far.

Then again it's gotten hard for me to not like anything by Remender at this point.
